CSR | CSR in sourcing

In 2011, Tryg introduced a new programme for CSR in sourcing for suppliers. Together with our suppliers, we engage in reducing CO2 emmissions and prevent human rights violations. By setting up requirements for our suppliers that are similar to those imposed on ourselves, we contribute to sound business practices that benefit society in relation to economic, social and environmental issues.

In cooperation with suppliers providing services in the areas of Motor, IT, marketing, consultancy and office supply, we seek to ensure that Tryg’s CSR standard is complied with. Through dialogue and in workshops with suppliers we set up realistic targets for reducing CO2 emmissions, enhancing security for employees, recruiting ethnic minorities etc. The suppliers are required to submit a plan of action containing targets and activities, and to report on results in an annual report.

The programme on CSR rolled out in at new set of contracs with caravan workshops handling insurance related damage for Tryg. A similar programme was included in contracts with our main IT supplier, with marketing and consultancy providers and suppliers of office equipment. A total of 22 workshops were held to train the suppliers in CSR reporting.
