Lesbian, gay, bisexual or transsexual people (LGBT) make up 10 % of the the Danish population. Of this percentage 11 % experience discrimination at their work place.
To create possibilities for everyone within Tryg, in 2013 we placed emphasis on how it is to be a LGBT-person within our company. We participated in dialogue and seminars on this topic with other companies and an internal workshop was held.
In 2014 we are going to compose a plan of action on how to avoid discrimination and in a best possible manner welcome the needs pointed out by LGBT-persons within Tryg.
Only a very small number of people openly talk about their homosexuality; thus, we face quite a job preventing that our employees experience it to be difficult or fatiguing going to work, because they feel compelled to hide their identity.
