Meet Mette

Mette Torp Kayser has been employed with Tryg since 2005, when she started in “Ejerskifte” (Transfer of Ownership). Later on, she transferred to “Retshjælp” (Legal Expenses Insurance), and today she is a claims-handler in Transportation.

- In 2005, I graduated as lawyer and I started directly in the insurance business, which was a bit of a coincidence. I feel that I have used my education and competences during all my years with Tryg, and I have continuously had the opportunity to further develop my skills, Mette says.

Professional and social community

Mette emphasises that in a busy working day, it is important that there is room for both professional social and professional community, and this is what she has in Tryg.

- I have really nice colleagues, with whom I interact very well, both professionally and socially. It is important to have a good chemistry between the colleagues, because then it is easier to challenge each other and both give and receive feedback, which is important in order to improve yourself and increase your skills, she says.

If the customer is satisfied, I am satisfied

Often Mette is handling complicated cases, which requires excellent pedagogical and communicative skills.

- I am a success when I succeed in explaining the interconnection of a case to customers – and when later on, they are pleased with the course of things. For example, I am thrilled, if a customer sends an email saying “Thank you for your help” or “we are lucky to have you”, and that does actually happen quite often, she says.

Flexible working day

Flexible working hours and the possibility of working from home, Mette finds it easier to combine her work life with her personal life.

- In a challenging working day, flexibility is important, and that is what Tryg is offering. The fact that I can work from home makes it easier to have both a working life and a family life.

Also, Mette benefits from a good office environment in Tryg where she has a height adjustable desk, headset, mousetrapper and two screens. In addition to the pleasant office environment employees in Tryg may make use of many other benefits such as massage, fitness and a hairdresser.

Room for development

In addition to the flexible working day, the exciting and challenging assignments and a good work collegial environment, Mette also emphasises the fact that she is offered good development opportunities.

- You are offered the opportunity to take courses at ”Forsikringsakademiet” or participate in private courses, and that is important for an ongoing development and an even better handling of the customers, she says.
